Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University (APSU) graphic layout scholar has landed a summer internship at the renowned Chautauqua Institution in New York.
Katie Boyer – who is pursuing a Bachelor of High-quality Arts in Graphic Layout at Austin Peay Condition College and final 12 months earned APSU’s inaugural Hazel Smith Summer Study Fellowship – will be a gallery assistant for Chautauqua Visible Arts (CVA) Galleries as a result of the beginning of August.


Boyer joined the CVA workforce in early June, and her obligations involve operating with personnel to put in and get rid of exhibitions, assisting in the CVA Craft Gallery, and packing and transport artwork.
CVA is section of the Chautauqua Establishment in Chautauqua, New York, and is centered on four pillars (College of Art, Galleries, Lecture Collection & Events, and Enrichment).
Boyer is the initial Austin Peay Point out University pupil to spend the summertime at Chautauqua considering that Khari Turner and Ashanté Kindle gained residencies at the University of Artwork in 2019.
