Katie Boyer – who is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Style at Austin Peay and very last 12 months earned APSU’s inaugural Hazel Smith Summer time Investigate Fellowship – will be a gallery assistant for Chautauqua Visual Arts (CVA) Galleries through the beginning of August.

Boyer joined the CVA crew in early June, and her duties include performing with staff to install and get rid of exhibitions, encouraging in the CVA Craft Gallery, and packing and shipping and delivery artwork.
CVA is part of the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York, and is centered on four pillars (School of Art, Galleries, Lecture Collection & Functions and Enrichment).
Boyer is the very first Austin Peay college student to commit the summertime at Chautauqua since Khari Turner and Ashanté Kindle gained residencies at the University of Artwork in 2019.
