When you’re on a tight deadline and need to work fast, pre-built design assets are an invaluable way to speed up your workflow. But you need to be selective.
Cheap and even free design assets are everywhere on the web, but let’s be honest, they’re usually pretty low-quality. And there’s no point in compromising your design vision just to save a few pounds.
Invest in high-quality design assets crafted by respected professionals, however, and you can enjoy the best of both worlds: getting your project completed ahead of time while still creating beautiful, high-end visuals for your client and their customers.

Everyone loves a nice tote bag, and here’s a quick, easy and attention-catching way to show off your bag designs. This Photoshop mockup, created by Austria-based graphic designer and art director Lukas Diemling, is wonderfully evocative, and the background colour is editable too.
4. Rotonto, created by Supernulla
Variable fonts are the future of typography, allowing multiple variations of a typeface to be incorporated into a single file rather than needing a separate one for each width, weight, or style. And Rotonto by Supernulla is one of the most interesting variable fonts we’ve seen recently. Its proportions and general construction follow the peculiarities of a grotesque typeface. At the same time, the contrast between the rigid, square-shaped counters of the letters and the round-shaped outline gives it a distinctive look and feel.
It’s one thing to see your poster design on screen, quite another to see what it’ll look like on a regular street. Poster Mockup No175 by Urban Poster Mockup allows you to do just that. This layered Photoshop (PSD) file instantly gives you a sense of whether your design is striking the right vibe.
Want to really draw attention with your graphics? The Distortion Collection is a collection of PNG and PSD files, along with 12 different distortion effects, allowing you to create unique posters, vinyl covers, social media posts and other kinds of artwork. These mind-bending assets and effects give you endless scope to keep creating and creating.
Designed by Studio Few, Oakes Grotesk is a more corporate take on the Oakes typeface. Its subtle curves and high degree of legibility add a touch of elegance to your designs while feeling fresh, individual and modern. This Geo-Grotesque typeface comes in five weights, with italics, and supports the following languages: Baltic, Basic Latin, Central European, Dutch, Euro, Romanian, Turkish and Western European.
Here’s something we haven’t seen before but which could really prove helpful. This Photoshop template from Martyr makes it easy to create the look of a realistic torn-up photo when designing a poster, record cover, social media post or similar graphic artwork. It features a photorealistic paper texture with an exclusive CMYK LUT (Look-Up Table) that emulates the colour range of actual printed papers.
Better still, it’s fully customisable, allowing you to tweak the colour of the detailed ripped parts, the paper background and shadows. Properly masked for PNG exports without background and incorporating predefined post-process adjustments, this quality asset is very easy to use.
Most smartphone templates look a little dry and basic, but here’s a fabulous exception. This iPhone 12 Pro template for Photoshop, created by Layers, draws the eye to your design effectively and originally. It comes with adjustable screen lighting, too.
10. PX82—Mono, created by TØ—Labs
This typeface created by TØ—Labs isn’t for the faint-hearted, but it will certainly help you to grab attention with your designs. PX82—Mono is a single uppercase black display font that brings to mind Brutalist concrete shapes and dramatically uses 45 and 90 degrees angles. Download it if you dare!
